Dr. Kathy Mao is a board-certified optometrist licensed to treat and manage ocular diseases including glaucoma. Dr. Mao earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology at University of California, Riverside. She discovered her passion for optometry while working as an optician, and decided to pursue her Doctorate of Optometry from Western University of Health Sciences, eventually graduating with honors.

In her free time, she enjoys volunteer work and spending time with her husband and two sons. She has been involved in local organizations such as Lions Club, Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity, and California Care Force. Dr. Mao’s scope of practice ranges from managing ocular diseases to fitting patients in the newest vision-enhancing optical eyewear. She looks forward to providing exceptional eye care for our deserving Los Angeles residents.
